Very friendly staff, and good location
The rooms were very dated and dark. The private courtyard keeps the hotel very quiet, but also blocks out the sun.
The warmth and friendliness of the staff was excellent, lovely warm rooms and hot showers. \just a few minutes walk from the main square and public transport. Our trip to Auschwitz organised by hotel was excellent and informative. No complaints whatsoever.
Helpful, courteous staff, excellent location & value, quiet but central (but see next question re: club noise). Flexibility when we asked for a room change. Very clean, well-maintained rooms. Great wi-fi reception. Lovely plants and decorations all around reception, rooms & courtyard.
First room was great but located over a nightclub, the vibrations kept one of us up at night (but not the other!) so we changed our room. Two minor points: 1) makeup tables in rooms are pretty but a small writing desk would be practical, 2) some dishes and cutlery in addition to coffee equipment would be helpful.
Very friendly staff, very clean, very close to the city center (1 min walking), very cozy decoration. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Only 2 things: the stairs (if you have big luggage) and no internal phone
the proximity of the city center, the kindness of the staff, the size of the room, coffe and tea with the boiler included
the floor (bathroom) wasn't cleaned every day,... and was dirty.
Lovely garden , quiet backwater but still close to main square.
noisy floors above
The location was wonderful. It is located right off the main square in Cracow. I was a bit worried that it would be noisy, however found it to be quiet and tranquil. It is hidden away in a courtyard. Beautiful and comfortable building (we were upgraded to a suite), and an extremely courteous and helpful staff. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit.
It is advertised as a bed and breakfast, but serves no breakfast. That's ok, though- breakfast can be found at the cafe next door starting at about 10-20PLN/person.
Optimal location, large, clean, quiet rooms, convenient services, WiFi, very kind staff, ... great value for money!
During nights, some background noise was coming from the club downstairs. However, it was not loud enough to definitely disturb our sleep.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location right in the center of the old town, near food, sightseeing, train station (10-15 min walk) etc. TV with few but useful channels (e.g. CNN, BBC, ZDF). Fridge accessible to all guests. Game room with computer/internet and a book shelf. Nice balcony with chairs.
The decoration was a bit worn but didn't make me feel uncomfortable or that it isn't clean.
really good position to stay near the main square
was very basic , but hadnt stayed in krakow before which we though was lovely.
very convenient location and well informed helpful staff
no information about fire escape in apartment
The location was excellent. The room nicely decorated and clean, with heating for the evenings. The receptionist was very helpful on arrival.
The room was clean and had nice kitchen facility. The location was in a great place in the old city.
We were located in the secondary building and to get to our room we needed to go through a fairly dark hallway. The hallway was shared with a restaurant and the staff would use it for smoking. The hall would smell of smoke alot of the time. Also on garbage day the back door in the entrace hall was open and there was a smell of garbage. Because of this it would be better to be located in the main building.
We had a very positive experience at Globtroter. The staff were so friendly and helpful, accommodation and facilities excellent. It was quiet and the location could not have been better. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to and enjoyed great meals at restaurants recommended to us by the staff. Much better than the usual accommodation offered by the traditional chain hotels. Definitely recommended.
We arrived at Globtroter around 7:30am after an overnight train, and the staff accommodated us by letting us check in early. The rooms are quaint and comfortable, and the location is excellent. The rooms are quiet despite the close proximity to the city centre. The staff is friendly and knowedgeable and allowed us to store our luggage for the day after we had checked out. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The hotel didn't offer breakfast, which was a minor inconvenience. But there are many places to go just down the street. We also thought the price was quite high considering that this is a very basic guesthouse.
